Client: The Kroger Company
Role: UX Content Designer, Copywriter, Copyeditor, Proofreader, Recipe Developer
Project: As a content designer, writer, and editor for MyMagazine, The Kroger Company's national lifestyle publication, I help shape a large-scale, rule-driven content system that reaches millions of households each month. My work focuses on clarity, consistency, and usability across a highly personalized ecosystem—ensuring that editorial, offers, recipes, and brand messaging work together seamlessly across print and digital touchpoints.
Beyond the magazine itself, each issue functions as a fully integrated content experience. Long-form articles are adapted into on-site features and email campaigns designed to support discoverability, drive traffic, and guide customer decision-making. I connect data-driven insights with approachable, human language—balancing food, health, and family content while adhering to strict brand, legal, and recipe standards.
At its core, MyMagazine is a content platform, not just a publication: a repeatable system that aligns editorial strategy with marketing goals, supports loyalty engagement, and delivers clear, usable information at scale.
Details: ~2.7 million customers receive via direct mail; ~1.5 million customers receive via email; ~650 targeted coupon offers per issue, ~68 million coupons distributed to loyalty card customers.
